Doone F - Financial Freedom

Age is no barrier in gaining financial education proves Obi Obi nurse.

61 year old Obi Obi resident Doone Flanagan wanted more than a comfortable retirement. She wanted financial freedom. She had worked and still works as a registered nurse for most of her adult life, and although she has always loved looking after others she knew it was high time she looked after herself.

"I read about ACOFE and I had been dabbling with shares a little bit but thought I would like to ho and learn a nit more about it, for the long term," she says.

Almost one year ago Doone enrolled at ACOFE and she hasn't looked back. "We look at everything to with the market" charting, in particular and the technical analysis of the charts and reading the charts Doone explains.

While Doone admits grasping all the concepts taught at ACOFE can take a little bit of time she does not feel the course run but the college is especially "hard" or "difficult."

"It just takes a bit of time and practice to understand it all," she says. "The lecturers present the information in and extremely interesting way, giving little aspects and reasons along the line of what and how you read the charts. It is very good.

Importantly Doone has not just learned about the market works but she has put it into practice. "I have been doing some trading and I have been doing reasonably well at it" she says. "Some obviously don't work out as well as you would like because you can never read the market completely but I have certainly improved a great deal and have been doing some successful trades, which is great."

Whilst Doone still works three days a week at a nursing home she has one aim in mind - to retire and work from home trading. "I watch my shares and the market every day from my computer at home and that is one of the bonuses of this education is that you can work from home" Doone Says. "My aim is to eventually make enough out of trading over the next three to five years so I don't have to work at the nursing home."

So would Doone recommend ACOFE for those seeking financial emancipation? "I would thoroughly recommend the course to other people" she says. "Especially if you are interested in trading, you learn so much about the market and that becomes beneficial to your financial future."

Doone has received and continues to receive such good value out of the college that her sister and a work colleague have also enrolled in the course with the aim of education themselves.

"My sister has started the course as well and one of the girls from work has also started the course" she says. "I go as often as I possibly can because they often repeat the same lecture and that does not worry me because the more often you go the more you learn and remember. You seem to learn a little more each time you go. I think that is one of the very good points that you can keep going for as long as you like."
